The Asian American Heritage festival held at Kensico Plaza Dam on Saturday, June 3rd, celebrated Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indian, Thai and Vietnamese culture.

TRA set up a Volunteer Recruitment table amidst the vibrant cultural celebration. Attendees enjoyed Chinese and Filipino cuisines, Korean dishes, and more. We were treated to performances such as Thai dance, face-changing acts, Tai Chi fan routines, and fencing demonstrations.

Alongside fostering connections with the Asian American community, TRA introduced festival goers to the services we provide older adults and adults with low vision, ensuring that individuals who struggle to reach their medical appointments have access to transportation. Engaging with the crowd, TRA not only shared our mission but also enjoyed the cultural experiences alongside our Asian American neighbors.
