Volunteers drivers received a heart-felt thank you on May 7th, when TRA held a Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, hosted by Waterstone of Westchester. The event was a celebration of the dedicated volunteer drivers who embody TRA’s mission. TRA stands as a beacon of support for older adults 60 + and adults 21+ with low vision in Westchester and Putnam County and southeast Fairfield County, CT. Committed to fostering independence, safety, and mobility, TRA plays a pivotal role in ensuring that age eligible individuals have access to non-emergency medical transportation and support in finding essential resources through TRA’s online Resource Hub.
Led by Catherine Wynkoop, President, TRA, alongside Westchester County Legislator Ben Boykin and Legislator Erica Pierce’s Aide, Eli Randles, the event was an occasion to honor the volunteers unwavering commitment. Though unable to attend in person, NYS Senator Shelly Mayer extended her gratitude by sending volunteer service certificates. Speaker Sue Raimondi, Burke Rehab, addressed safely assisting riders getting into and out of vehicles.
