Be Ready for an Emergency

You can be ready for an emergency and when you have information and plan in advance. Recent heavy rains that resulted in flooding in some areas of our region reminded us that we need to be prepared for emergencies. Older adults and adults with a disability may have specific needs after a disaster.

Ready.gov suggests that we plan in advance to:

  • Assess Your Needs
  • Make a Plan
  • Engage Your Support Network

Get Summer Ready addresses preparing for periods of extreme heat with suggestions for everyone from the Get #SummerReady link.
