In 2005, Catherine Wynkoop had hip replacement surgery. Unable to drive herself to her physical therapy appointments, she found no suitable transportation options in her largely rural community. Wynkoop realized that something as simple as a ride to the doctor could help people live independently at home. She galvanized partners and resources to create an organization that would help people age in place and lead active and productive lives, despite their lack of transportation. In 2011, Wynkoop co-founded WestFair Rides, known today as TRA
