It’s not hard to make your social media more accessible and alt text is essential for people with vision impairments. Did you know that you can help make your website and social media posts more accessible to people with low vision by adding “alt text”? It’s a short description of images and makes images accessible to people who use screen readers and other assistive technology.

Facebook and websites give you the option to add alt text to all your photos. On Instagram the equivalent to alt text is adding a caption to your image in the body of the text.
