The New York State Golden Park Program allows a NYS resident, 62 or older, free vehicle access to most state parks on Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. At the park entrance, just present your currently valid New York State Driver License of Non-Driver Identification Card at the park entrance. For locations with pay stations contact the facility directly for information.

A quick check at Jones Beach State Park (yes), Walkway Over the Hudson (no), and Olana State Historic site (free but a charge for tours) show a great diversity in pricing. Choose the site you’d like to visit and navigate to Fees & Rates, you should find the Golden State Park Program information there.
