Friends, family, volunteers and staff joined together to celebrate TRA’s awardees at the Coliseum restaurant in White Plains. The awardees were recognized for the impact they have on TRA’s Mission of providing free non-emergency medical rides, advocacy, and resources for older adults (60+) and adults with a disability.

We honored partners and volunteers who keep us moving forward. PKF O’Connor Davies received the Corporate Partner Award, Arleen Zuckerman, a long-term volunteer and Board President received the Board Leadership Award. Alan Dindas, a veteran volunteer driver whose compassion and friendliness makes every journey a journey of care received the Volunteer Service Award.

County Executive Ken Jennings was on hand to thank and encourage the volunteers. Board member Rose Cappa Rotunno lent her expertise at events and fundraising to plan the brunch. Emily, a rider spoke of her appreciation. She no longer has to worry if she will be able to get to her medical appointments.

Legislator Jewel Williams Johnson, Westchester County Legislator for District 8, is a strong advocate and voice for pressing issues that affect her constituents.

Introduced by Ibrahim Abdallah, Director, Marketing and Development, Awardee Alan Dindas has been TRA’s top volunteer driver for three years running and has provided over 2000 rides to medical appointments.
