Do you need to update your license to a REAL ID?
An update in federal law requires a Real ID drivers license or DMV Enhanced ID (non-driver) if you want to use your drivers license/enhanced ID to board a domestic flight, enter military bases and certain federal facilities.
A REAL ID is a federally compliant DMV-issued driver license, learner permit, or non-driver ID which you will be required to have to board a domestic flight (within the U.S.) or enter certain federal buildings starting in May 2025, unless you have a valid passport.
