Scott Rosania wants to make sure patients can get to their doctors

When we asked Scott to give us a few words about his experience as a volunteer driver he had a lot to say. Enjoy hearing from him in his own words.

Ultimately, my desire to volunteer comes from my passion in life, which is to build meaningful connections with people. My career is focused on helping patients access expensive medications to help improve their health, and over the years I’ve come to recognize that one barrier that continues to persist (even after we’ve worked with patients’ insurance companies to cover the medications, and financial programs to help with the cost) is just getting to the appointments. I’ve heard it said that the key to life is showing up, so that is what motivates me – making sure patients can show up!

I have been driving patients for a couple of years through various organizations, and I still get energized every time I’m able to set up a ride. That’s a family member I’m helping. And TRA makes it such a simple process for me to volunteer. Of course the vetting process is just as thorough as one would expect, but once cleared to volunteer, the technology TRA leverages is intuitive. The staff at TRA are all aligned to the goal of helping patients and everyone is prompt and courteous. One thing that sets TRA apart is their willingness to accept my schedule and not add pressure to volunteer for a certain number of rides. TRA is made up of kind people doing great work and I”m honored to be a part of it!
