TRA Group, Inc. is excited to announce the launch of the Shopping Bus service for older adults in Ossining, Peekskill, Yorktown, and New Rochelle – offering no-cost, weekly rides to local grocery stores and shopping destinations.

TRA started this valuable service so older adults in our community can receive the transportation support they need. Each town has its own weekly route:

     Yorktown — Tuesdays, with stops alternating between Walmart and ShopRite in Cortlandt Manor, Trader Joe’s in Yorktown Heights and the Beach Shopping Center in Peekskill

     Ossining/Briarcliff — Wednesdays, to ShopRite in Croton-on-Hudson

     Peekskill — Thursdays, alternating between Walmart in Mohegan Lake and the Beach Shopping Center in Peekskill

     New Rochelle — Fridays, with stops at Costco in New Rochelle and ShopRite in Pelham

Pick-up stops are located near concentrations of older adult housing in each community, with buses departing in the morning and returning riders home after their shopping trip.

Seats are reserved in advance – riders simply call two days before the scheduled trip to secure a spot.
